Whitman Academy has been granted accreditation with North Central Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) through AdvancEd, “the world’s largest education community, serving more than 27,000 public and private schools and districts across the United States and in 69 countries that educate over 15 million students”. Accreditation is a way that schools voluntarily engage in quality assurance, ensuring that the academic standards of the particular institution meet or exceed high educational standards. Parents, students, and universities can be assured that education received through an accredited institution will adequately prepare their students for rigorous post-high school academic life.
AdvancED is the parent organization of three of the six US-regional accreditation agencies, which include NCA CASI, the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).
Roy and Dora Whitman Academy’s accreditation is from the North Central Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI).
