The ICDL (International Computer Drivers License) is a recognized standard certificate for everyone who uses a computer at home or work. Your ICDL shows employers that you know basic and important IT skills. It shows you are confident using a PC and standard computer software applications. Over 2 million people worldwide have obtained the ICDL. Governments, multinational corporations, companies, universities, ministries and schools want their employees to increase their skills by taking the certificate.
The ICDL has seven modules:
- Basic Concepts of IT Components of a computer, definitions common computer terms, computer use in everyday life.
- Using the Computer and Managing Files Working on a desktop, organizing files, simple editing, print features.
- Word Processing (Microsoft Word)
Opening a document, basic operations, styling and editing a document, printing a document. - Spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel)
Opening a spreadsheet, inputting data, working with formulas/functions, graphs and charts, printing. - Databases (Microsoft Access)
Planning a database, entering and sorting data, retrieving information, reporting - Presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint)
