Elementary Teacher Job Description
Job Summary
The elementary teacher is responsible for managing the classroom, nurturing students in growth and development and providing instruction in the assigned grade and curriculum area that aligns with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of the school.
Reporting Relationships
The classroom teacher reports directly to the Elementary Principal.
Qualifications

- Must be a mature Christian with a clear testimony

- Must be a native English speaker

- Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution

- Preferably 1 -2 years of teaching experience

- Preferably hold a current teacher’s license
Responsibilities

- Model a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ in attitude, speech and actions

- Design and implement instruction that addresses the academic, emotional, social, and physical needs of the students

- Create and submit lesson plans with objectives that align with established curricular goals

- Maintain a safe, inviting, organized classroom environment that promotes engaged learning and creative, student-centered learning experiences

- Differentiate instruction, aligning methods and techniques to meet diverse student needs

- Integrate Biblical principles and Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum

- Employ strategies of effective classroom management which focus on positive reinforcement
